Duration: 3 hours
Meeting point: Hyde Park
You’ll learn to use all the functions on your DSLR camera, and how to build a photo even before you press the shutter.
What's involved? The 3 hour photo workshop will cover a range of technical aspects, including aperture, shutter speed and ISO, amongst other photography techniques. You’ll also cover focal length and lenses, lighting and nailing that exposure!
This is a very hands-on class, so you’ll have plenty of time to practise your new skills on the day - lots of photo-taking!
What do you need to bring? A DSLR camera, or a camera with manual controls is preferable, but you may bring any kind of camera or smartphone. Please also be sure to bring plenty of memory cards and fully charged batteries.
Class sizes are kept small so each participant will have a chance to interact with the host on a one-to-one basis. There will be a substantial amount of hands-on activity involved on the day, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella should the weather call for it.
Your experience doesn’t stop once the class ends - you can share your photos on the Photoh Facebook wall and there's also a Perth Photography Facebook Group, where members can exchange photography tips, ask questions and receive constructive criticism on photos.
It was amazing. I learnt so much in the time span of three hours, and it was interactive and interesting with so many useful tips and tricks. We learnt about aperture, iso and shutter speed, taking depth of field photos. Leo was a great mentor, and he bought us ice cream right at the end :) 5/5 by Lily Cassarchis 12-1-2019
