Rule of Thirds

Dictionary (71)
Rule of Thirds: This rule is based around how the human eye sees images. It involves placing the subject within the frame along vertical and horizontal intersecting lines that separate an image into thirds.

These intersecting lines are set slightly to the left and right of an image and by positioning subjects along them when taking photographs, it makes for better composition.
