The 3 primary colours (red, green and blue) that can be combined in various proportions to obtain any colour in the visible spectrum.

They are identified as RGB channels in a camera by the image sensor and are measured in degrees Kelvin. The output of the RGB channels will determine the colour temperature of the final photograph.
