Time for another photography competition! The theme this fortnight is Using Leading Lines in Photography.
Framing and composition are two great ways to immediately see an improvement in the shots you take. Leading lines are a composition technique that can create some really interesting effects in your photos, and you can use them to pack a punch visually!
This competition is all about exploring how you can use leading lines in your photography. Spoiler alert: once you start actively looking for leading lines, you will start noticing them everywhere!
Leading lines sound like something that you might only find in big, brutish man-made structures, but they truly are everywhere, we promise you! Think about the patterns you might find in nature, such as tree branches winding across the sky, or the mesmerising leaf patterns of palm trees. Think about how a river could meander through a landscape, or how a stretch of sand reaches out across a horizon.
