The theme for our latest photography competition was Landscape Photography
This competition was all about exploring your local area (or your favourite destination!) and capturing the landscape in a creative way with your camera.
We had some incredible entries, and all of the photos from this competition theme can be seen on the Photoh Facebook page competition here.
Here are our finalists for the Landscape Photography competition:
Neil O'Loughlin, Adelaide
Amanda Vesey, Brisbane
Annamarie Horvatincic, Melbourne
Amber Ramento, Perth
Kathy Wallace, Sydney
The winner this fortnight is...Kathy Wallace from Sydney!
Congratulations Kathy! You have won a $100 photography voucher! What a stunning landscape shot! We feel as though every technical aspect and detail has been considered here, producing an incredibly high quality image.
The black&white tones suit the rich textures of the rock, which are contrasted by the misty waters created by the long exposure shutter. This can be a hard feat when you're out shooting in harsh light conditions that you might find at the beach on a sunny day!
Fantastic shot Kathy!
The theme for next fortnight is Using Leading Lines in Photography
Framing and composition are two great ways to immediately see an improvement in the shots you take. Leading lines are a composition technique that can create some really interesting effects in your photos, and you can use them to pack a punch visually!
