The theme for this photography challenge was Photographing Water.
Water can provide some amazing photo opportunities, and has been a source of inspiration for many great photographers. Whether you're out trekking with your camera to capture rivers and waterfalls, or strolling by the sea, or even experimenting with water from your own kitchen sink!
Here are our finalists for the Photographing Water competition:
Hayley Potter, Adelaide
Niall Steward, Brisbane
Bec Gibson, Hobart
Karen Thomson, Melbourne
Carolyn Toleman, Perth
Ankit Sinha, Sydney
The winner this fortnight is...Hayley Potter in Adelaide!
Congratulations Hayley! You have won a $100 JB Hifi voucher! A fantastic choice of scene and camera settings has resulted in a stunning shot that immediately caught our attention.
Using a long exposure is a fantastic way to capture the flow and movement of water, especially on lapping waves like Hayley has shot here. We loved how the movement of the waves were reflected in the passing clouds above, and the drama of the composition.
The theme for next fortnight is Nature Photography
Nature photography can encompass a huge range of different photography styles, from plants to animals and wildlife.
We'd love to see your take on nature photography, and see how you can use your camera to creatively capture the natural world around you.
Think about your use of colour (or lack of it?) as well as your viewpoints and composition.
