Photography Competition 9: Reflections Montage

The theme for this fortnight was reflections, and our students were inspired by every reflective surface they saw. Brisbane students snapped away at the pools in Southbank and the Kangaroo Cliffs, and the Sydney class ventured inside to photograph the mirrors in the QVB. Melbourne students found reflections in everything from glass windows to the Yarra River in Docklands, and the Perth group captured the coloured lights of the city skyline over the foreshore in South Perth.

With 46 entries in this round, it took us a long time to decide the two winners. You can see all the photos that were entered in our album on the Photoh Facebook page but here are our choices for the top 6 finalists:

Julie Saffery-Hutton – Adelaide

Gavin Marsh – Brisbane

Glenn Cockerton – Melbourne

Simone Heron – Perth

David Naar – Sydney

Margaret McLennan – Sydney

The winner for first prize this fortnight is...Glenn Cockerton from Melbourne! He will receive a Canon or Sigma Speedlight flash, to help with taking better photos at night and indoors, valued at $200.

The winner for second prize is....Margaret McLennan in Sydney, who will receive a $50 JB HiFi voucher.

The next photography challenge theme is Small Details/Macro Photography. Entries will open on Saturday the 6th June and close on Wednesday the 17th June at 9pm. The prize is a a $150 Artifact Uprising voucher to print beautiful photo books and albums.
