This fortnight the theme for the group classes was
colour versus black and white.
There was a fantastic group of photographs, and were all so different in terms of subject and composition. It's great to see how everyone interpreted the brief in their own way. The task of selecting finalists was incredibly difficult!
All the photos that were entered in the competition can be viewed in the album on the
Photoh Facebook page. The finalists for this fortnight are:
David Munro - Adelaide
Karen Philips - Adelaide
Liz Needle - Adelaide
David Hass - Brisbane
Kerry-Ann Waller - Brisbane
Paul Drinkwater - Melbourne
Laurence Baudoin - Perth
Kathy Wallace - Sydney
Leigh Hess - Sydney
Merelyn Deadman - Sydney
The winner for first prize this fortnight is...Karen Philips from Adelaide! She will receive a $100 JB HiFi voucher. We love the composition of this shot, and how black dominates one half of the frame, and white on the other.
The winner for second prize is...Leigh Hess from Sydney, who has won a $50 JB HiFi voucher. What a great contrasted shot that proves you can find beauty in even the most overlooked of places.
The next photography challenge theme is Street Photography. Entries will open on Saturday the 16th July and close on Thursday 29th July at midnight. First prize is a $100 JB Hifi voucher and second prize is a $50 JB Hifi voucher, or a Photoh class of your choice.

rules and guidelines if you'd like more information before submitting a photo. If you have any other questions you can email victoria@photoh.com.au.
