The theme for the photography challenge for the group classes this fortnight was
lifestyle photography, where the aim was to learn how to capture people and community culture, in a candid and natural way.
Sydney students found inspiration among the crowds at Circular Quay, while the Melbourne and Adelaide groups snapped the buzz of activity at the Prahan and Central markets. The Brisbane class photographed scenes by the river in Southbank and over in Perth the group captured the happenings on the piazza at the Perth Art Gallery.
Lifestyle photography is a tricky style to master and we think the top 7 entries we've chosen as the state finalists were photos that had a classic lifestyle look - and captured the essence of the community where they were taken. You can view all the photos that were entered in the album on the

The next photography challenge theme is
Motion Blur. Entries will open on Saturday the 4th July and close on Wednesday the 15th July at midnight. First prize is a $100 JB Hifi voucher.
