We had an open theme this week, so everyone was given free reign to get as creative with their cameras as they wished!
It's always amazing to see the huge range of subjects that have been captured by entrants across Australia, and we are seriously impressed with the skills on show.
Judging is now only done for first and second place winners only. Any feedback on images can be sought in our Facebook groups during Critique Me Tuesday, both before and after the competitions, just be sure to tag the instructor in each group, who is identified each Tuesday night.
To see all of the photography competition entries, head to the album on the Photoh Facebook page here.
The finalists this fortnight are:
Alexa Nguyen, Adelaide
Lisa Lawrie, Brisbane
Laura O'Grady, Melbourne
Michael Davis, Perth
Bala Krishnan, Sydney
The winner this fortnight is...Laura O'Grady from Melbourne Congratulations, you have won a $100 JB Hifi voucher!
The colours and lighting in this photo are mesmerising! Laura has also included two human figures, which shows off the window's sheer scale, and adds another layer of interest to the shot.
And in second place we have...Bala Krishnan from Sydney, who has won a $50 JB Hifi voucher.
Bala has set an incredible scene with this shot, and we can imagine the work that has gone into finding the right viewpoint and settings to perfectly capture the lights and detail.
The challenge for next fortnight is all about summer storytelling photography, and how you can document your local area with your camera. It's time to capture what makes your home city special, and how you can set the scene of summer.
Entries opened on Friday the 12th January and will close on Thursday the 25th January at 23:59 AEST.
To enter, simply post your photo on the Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. First prize is a $100 JB Hifi voucher and second prize is a $50 JB Hifi voucher.
