The competition theme this fortnight is
Creative Night Photography.
Night photography can be so creative with long exposures, light trails and city lights - plenty of photo opportunities to be found after dark!
This competition is all about exploring different ways of capturing night scenes by using interesting lighting or camera techniques such as long exposures or light trails.
Don't be afraid to experiment! Photography is all about playing with light and having fun with it.
We'll be looking for entries that show a good understanding of camera settings, with shots that show a consideration to the lighting available in front of the camera.
Need some inspiration? Check out some of our blog articles on night photography here:
Entries for this theme will close on Thursday 28th February. Keep scrolling on down for details on how to enter...
If you would like to post multiple photos as your entry, please ensure that they are saved as a collage in a
single file as we cannot accept multiple files.
Competition entries opened on Friday 15th February 2019, and will close on Thursday 28th February 2019 at 23.59 AEST.
To enter (it's free!) you can do
one of the following:
Post your photo (one per person unless it's a collage saved as a single image) on the
Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. Once on the Facebook page, you'll just need to scroll down to the 'Visitor Posts' tab on the right, and add your own.
Email your entry (stating your full name and your city) to: victoria@photoh.com.au
First prize is a $100 JB Hifi voucher and second prize is a $50 JB Hifi voucher to spend in the store as you wish! Time to prepare the photography wishlist!
All of the entries each fortnight are compiled into a
Facebook photo album, with the finalists and winners appearing on the blog post on the Friday.
Please read
our post on the competition rules and guidelines if you'd like more information before submitting a photo. If you have any other questions you can
