The competition theme this fortnight is Using Aperture and Bokeh in Photography.
Bokeh(pronounced 'boke' or 'bok-ah'). The effect of creating blurred shapes from the reflected light in the background of a photograph, enhancing the depth of field in a photograph.
Bokeh is achieved by using certain types of lenses and a very wide aperture setting.
We'd love to see how you use different aperture settings and/or bokeh for creative effect. How will you play with the focus and depth of field?
This competition is a chance for you to try out using different aperture settings and exploring the effects depth of field can have in the composition.
Feel free to experiment! Photography is all about playing with camera settings and having fun with it.
We'll be looking for entries that show an understanding of aperture, and how best to use it in the scene that's been photographed.
Entries for this theme will close on Monday 18th March. Keep scrolling on down for details on how to enter...
If you would like to post multiple photos as your entry, please ensure that they are saved as a collage in a single file as we cannot accept multiple files.
Competition entries opened on Friday 1st March 2019, and will close on Monday 18th March 2019 at 23.59 AEST.
To enter (it's free!) you can do - one - of the following:
Post your photo (one per person unless it's a collage saved as a single image) on the Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. Once on the Facebook page, you'll just need to scroll down to the 'Visitor Posts' tab on the right, and add your own.
