The competition theme this fortnight is Abstract Photography.
What is abstract photography? Also referred to as conceptual or experimental, abstract photography is about breaking the rules and allowing us see things in a way that we wouldn’t normally see. It’s unique and it’s surprising! Abstract photos can be created both in-camera and through post-production.
Entries for this theme will close on Thursday 17th January. Keep scrolling on down for details on how to enter...
Let your creativity go wild for this one, and see what experimental images you can produce with your camera.
Maybe you could play with light and shadow to create interesting patterns and effects? Explore different camera angles and perspectives to turn things on their head?
Abstract photography is all about playing with the shape or form of an object so that it almost becomes unrecognisable, or forces the viewer to take a deeper look. Time to think outside of the box.
Competition entries opened on Friday 4th January 2019, and will close on Thursday 17th January 2019 at 23.59 AEST.
To enter (it's free!) you can do one of the following:
Post your photo (one per person unless it's a collage saved as a single image) on the Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. Once on the Facebook page, you'll just need to scroll down to the 'Visitor Posts' tab on the right, and add your own.
