The competition theme this fortnight is Selective colour Photography.
We're all about colour and how you use it for this theme!
Colour is something that we obviously all notice around us, and use in colour photography, but how often do you really take note of what colours you're placing in the frame, and what they're doing to the composition?
There are many ways to use colour effectively, from considering and emphasising the different connotations and meanings of different hues, to carefully placing particular colours in a composition.
There is also selective colour editing, which is where you choose one subject to keep in colour, and desaturate the rest of the shot.
You could choose to focus on one colour in particular, or use opposite colours to provide contrast. There are some more ideas on selective colour in our article here.
Entries can be a single image, or a series that has been put together as a one image collage.
We're looking for photos that have a creative use of colour, with a composition that has care and thought behind it.
Competition entries opened on Friday 17th November, and will close on Thursday 29th November at 23.59 AEST.
To enter (it's free!) you can do one of the following:
Post your photo (one per person unless it's a collage saved as a single image) on the Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. Once on the Facebook page, you'll just need to scroll down to the 'Visitor Posts' tab on the right, and add your own.
