The competition this fortnight is Black&White Photography.
We're stripping back to basics this fortnight, and stepping into a world without colour. This can be a great way to force yourself to see your surroundings in a new way, and to focus on light, shadow and textures in the absence of colours.
You'll need to rely on contrast and details to create depth and interest in your shots. What will you be photographing?
You can choose any subject you like for this challenge, and it doesn't matter whether the photo was shot directly in black&white or edited into black&white afterwards.
We'll be looking for photos that work well in black&white, and show off the chosen subject in an effective way. Good exposure and thoughtful composition is key.
With no restrictions on subjects, you can choose to stick with your favourite things to photograph, or use this as an opportunity to try something new. Landscapes...portraits...street photography...animals...the monochrome world is your oyster!
Competition entries opened on Friday 5th October, and will close on Thursday 18th October at 23.59 AEST.
To enter (it's free!) you can do one of the following:
Post your photo (one per person unless it's a collage saved as a single image) on the Photoh Facebook wall stating your city. Once on the Facebook page, you'll just need to scroll down to the 'Visitor Posts' tab on the right, and add your own.
