Landscape Photography Meetup - National Carillon - 4 pm - 2 hours
Landscape photography is not easy. Especially when you shot your photos with very high lighting contrast ratio. Under this circumstance, your shutter speed, aperture and ISO need to be adjusted very carefully. And normally a landscape photo captured under high lighting contrast circumstance need at least 3 raw pictures with different level of exposure. So this session, we’ll be looking at how you can improve your shots and help your photos with an extreme external environment, shooting in front of the sun. And some smart tips will be given to help you improve your picture's quality under such difficult circumstances.

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations across the region.
New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month.
And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Canberra Photography Facebook Group here to share your photos after the session.

We ask that everyone attending a meetup follows social distancing guidelines:

Both hubby and I really enjoyed the experience. Despite being a windy day it didn't take away from several pleasant hours of learning new tips, techniques and ideas, thanks to Ijumma. Being a small, supportive group really helped too. We completed this session feeling inspired and ready to test out our new found skills.

Really enjoyed it - although I got very cold by the end! Tutor was very helpful, personable and knowledgeable. My aim was to use 'manual' and I did, with his guidance, and came home with some very encouraging images.
